The Department of Family and Community Medicine in the College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a visionary leader to serve as department chair. The incoming chairperson will lead one of the most successful clinical departments.

Potential candidate will clearly demonstrate stronger interpersonal and leadership skills complemented by administrative experience, research success, visionary thinking and financial acumen. The successful candidate is expected to possess a D.O. degree from a COCA-accredited college of osteopathic medicine, be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Michigan and be certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice (AOBFP) or equivalent.

Family and Community Medicine (FCM) has a vibrant and diverse clinical population on its on-campus facility and is looking to expand its role in healthcare. The Department has a growing research division lead by a funded Ph.D. researcher. We contribute to the college’s curriculum for students in all four years of their undergraduate medical education
