Responsibilities

Take on an executive-level role within a world-class health organization. Help drive the continued delivery of exceptional healthcare to those most in need. Take your career to the next level. UCan do all this and more at UCLA Health.

As the Chief Medical Officer for the Venice Family Clinic, you will focus on advancing our mission “to provide quality primary health care to people in need.” This community-focused health center cares for over 28,000 low-income patients making over 120,000 visits annually who might otherwise go without critically needed health care services. With eleven clinical sites and over 350 staff, 1,700 volunteers, and a budget of $69 million, we provide high quality, comprehensive primary and specialty health care, dental, mental health, substance use treatment and child development services to underserved individuals and families on the Westside of Los Angeles.

We’re looking to you to oversee all clinical programs, including those involving medical residents, students and faculty. You will partner with clinical, operations, program and administrative staff and volunteers to identify new programs, evaluate existing programs and determine which programs and clinical interventions best serve our patients.  You will be responsible for the productivity of the clinical staff and the quality of care they deliver. You will also participate in clinical risk management, compliance and patient safety while overseeing all peer review, credentialing and privileging activities.

We’re seeking an exceptionally gifted, visionary leader with:

·      Seven or more years of experience as a primary care physician
·      Board certification in family medicine, internal medicine, med/peds or pediatrics
·      Five or more years of proven leadership experience in a primary health care setting
·      Solid background serving underserved people
