The Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks an experienced gynecologic pathologist to serve as Chief of Gynecologic Pathology. This subspecialty pathology service is ased in our integrated Anatomic Pathology Services unit in Lake Success, NY, and serves two nearby major tertiary hospitals (North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center) along with a robust outreach program. The annual volume of gynecologic pathology cases exceeded 22,000 in 2016 and continues to grow. The chief will supervise a 7-8 member gynecologic pathology team. Eligible candidates must be board certified in Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology (or equivalent) should have strong leadership skills, teaching track record, and diagnostic expertise in gynecologic pathology, preferably with 7-10 years of post-fellowship experience in gynecologic pathology. A strong academic background with demonstrated academic accomplishments is also desirable.
