Physician - Academics-Palliative Care
Banner University Medical Group and the Division of General Internal Medicine, Palliative Medicine, and Geriatrics is actively recruiting for a Palliative Medicine Physician. Applicants must be board certified/board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Mentoring and resources are available for developing an academic career. The qualified candidate will receive a faculty appointment consistent with their credentials, and will have opportunity to grow Palliative Care within the community and teach students, residents, and fellows from the University of Arizona.
The Palliative Medicine Team is based out of Banner University Medical Center – Tucson, a robust academic medical center. The Palliative Medicine Team provides inpatient consults to patients with serious illness from a broad range of specialized services including Neuro, Medical, Cardiac and Surgical ICUs, Transplant, Oncology, and Advanced Heart Failure. The Palliative Medicine team provides outpatient support and symptom management within the University of Arizona Cancer Center, a NCI designated comprehensive cancer center.
