Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center, located in Yonkers, New York, has an immediate opening for a physician to join our distinguished medical team. The ideal candidate is Board-certified in pediatrics or dual-certified in internal medicine/pediatrics.

As the nation’s largest pediatric long-term care center, Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to children (from birth to age 21) with medical complexity in an environmentally conscious, state-of-the-art setting. We are consistently recognized for unparalleled excellence as evidenced by our 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services since the category’s inception in 2008, as well as our designation as the No. 1 nursing home in New York State from Newsweek in 2020.

As a home to 169 residents, including over 70 ventilator-dependent children, Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center offers an exceptionally rewarding experience for professionals seeking to make an impact in the lives of some of the most underserved and vulnerable children and families in New York State. Our diverse, transdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, creative arts therapists and Child Life Specialists provide unique opportunities to collaborate, inspire and elevate care in order to help each child reach their greatest potential and experience the fullness of life.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the physician will coordinate the overall medical care for a cohort of children and young adults, lead plan of care meetings, supervise palliative care fellows, engage in research opportunities and collaborate with a diverse team of direct care disciplines. Board-certification, New York State license and DEA certification are required.  Applicants with certification in hospice and palliative medicine or critical care medicine are strongly encouraged.

Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center is part of the Elizabeth Seton Children’s family of organizations, which also includes Elizabeth Seton Children’s School (with campuses in Yonkers and White Plains) and Elizabeth Seton Children’s Rehabilitation Center in White Plains. Elizabeth Seton Children’s is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity Ministry Network. We are currently seeking to expand our services to include the first of its kind, groundbreaking young adult center: a home for individuals with medical complexity 21 and older that bridges the gap between childhood and adulthood. We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and growth-oriented physician to join our team and help us pioneer this exciting new dimension of care as we advance the national conversation surrounding how children with medical complexity transition into adulthood.

Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all candidates for employment equally regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, citizenship, disability, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, State or local laws.
