Child Protection Program
The Division of General Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician to join the busy Child Protection Program. This physician will work with Board Certified Child Abuse pediatricians, social workers and psychologists on a multidisciplinary team that serves the hospital and the Boston area. Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient expert consultation on cases of possible abuse and neglect, as well the provision of clinical care to children and adolescents in the Boston Children’s Hospital Foster Care Clinic. Physicians in the Child Protection Program also provide education to Harvard Medical School students, residents, and staff of all disciplines within the hospital. Ideal candidates have excellent clinical skills, experience working with a multidisciplinary team, interest in participating in clinical research, and experience and comfort in the medical-legal aspects of child abuse. Salary and benefits are competitive. Boston Children’s Hospital is a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School and the pediatric staff will obtain an academic appointment at the level of Instructor.
