Otolaryngologist

Job Duties:

Provide comprehensive medical and surgical management of disorders and diseases of the ears, nose, sinuses, larynx, upper aerodigestive tract and the head and neck region in both adult and pediatric patients.  Perform surgeries like tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, ear tube placement and excision of congenital neck masses.  Treat complex ear diseases including mastoidectomy for mastoid infections, and reconstruction of ear drums and hearing bones. Treat sinonasal disorders including allergic rhinitis, endoscopic sinus surgery for sinusitis and septoplasties for deviated septum. Perform surgeries for head and neck cancers including thyroid surgery, parathyroid surgery, oral cancer surgery, laryngectomy for laryngeal cancer and neck dissections for removal of cancerous neck lymph nodes. Manage excision of skin cancers in the head and neck region. Additionally, examine, diagnose and treat voice disorders and pharyngeal swallowing disorders. Recommend and order indicated serological tests and imaging studies to facilitate diagnosis and determine extent of disease.  Consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment based on best clinical practices.

Minimum Requirements: Medical degree or foreign equivalent, plus completion of residency training program in Otolaryngology, Board eligible or Board certified in Otolaryngology, and ability to obtain Georgia medical license.
