- MA license and Board Certification are required.
The anatomic pathology department processes over 37,000 surgical specimens, 11,000 gynecologic cytology and 6000 non-gynecologic cytology specimens per year. It provides subspecialty expertise in breast pathology, GI pathology, medical renal pathology, dermatopathology, gynecologic pathology, cytopathology, neuropathology, transplant pathology as well as hematopathology among others. In addition it provides consultative services to other hospitals within the Beth Israel Lahey Health System.
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a founding member of Beth Israel Lahey Health System, is a physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of over 1900 physicians with more than 50 medical and surgical specialties and uses EPIC electronic medical records. It serves 3,000 patients every day through 345-inpatient hospital beds, ambulatory care center, 24-hour emergency department and American College of Surgeons verified level I trauma center. We are a teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine and many of physicians hold teaching assignments at Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine.
