MEDICAL DIRECTOR, PRIMARY CARE

LGBTQ PROGRAM

HACKENSACK UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER

Hackensack, New Jersey

The Department of Internal Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center is seeking a medical director/clinician to establish the Health Care Center serving the LGBTQ Community. This center will provide culturally sensitive primary care with support services targeting the needs of the LGBTQ community in Northern New Jersey.

Hackensack University Medical Center is uniquely suited to provide such a program having earned the coveted status of “Leader in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality” since 2015, based upon the Human Rights Campaign’s Healthcare Equality Index, a national benchmarking tool which evaluates healthcare facilities for equity and inclusion of LGBTQ patients, visitors and employees.

The Center will provide comprehensive and compassionate care, readily accessible and rooted in equality, respect and understanding, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.  Consultative medical and surgical specialties are available to support this program.

We aim to eradicate long-standing health disparities while furthering the care, research, educational, and service goals of the Hackensack Meridian Health Network.

The successful candidate will have graduated from an approved medical school, BC/BE in either internal medicine or family medicine and the ability to obtain professional licensure in the State of New Jersey.
