The School of Medicine of Stony Brook University, located in suburban Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, is seeking an INTERVENTIONAL PULMONOLOGIST to join our Faculty in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. We are seeking an individual to assume responsibility in a multi-disciplinary program, which includes advanced diagnostic and interventional bronchoscopy. The position will focus on expanding our clinical service, research and teaching efforts, working with collaborating physicians in Surgery, Radiology and Medical Oncology. The successful candidate will be appointed to the faculty in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine and have integral involvement with Stony Brook's Lung Cancer Evaluation Center (LCEC), the inpatient critical care services and our general pulmonary inpatient and outpatient practice. In addition to the provision of clinical care, responsibilities will include conducting both independent and collaborative research, as well as actively participating in our Fellowship Training Program. The level of appointment will be dependent on credentials and experience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
MD or equivalent. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary and BC/BE in Critical Care Medicine with successful completion of a Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology.

Preferred Qualifications:
Three (3) or more years of experience in Interventional Pulmonology.

To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
