Nephrologist

Scott & White Clinic seeks a Nephrologist in the Temple/Killeen Texas area. The Nephrologist will provide direct patient care. May provide medical oversight through feedback and coaching for care provided by professional medical staff to include nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurse clinicians who are otherwise administratively supervised by their individual managers. Nephrologists see a patient range from adult to geriatrics, and diagnose illnesses focusing on non-surgical treatment, management of renal disorders, and the entire renal system interaction with the body. A Nephrologist requires additional training (completion of ACGME accredited fellowship program) and experience in dealing with higher acuity level patients including providing renal replacement therapy (dialysis) and management of kidney transplant patients.    

Medical degree in Medicine or foreign equivalent and 36 months internal medicine residency and 24 months in nephrology fellowship, must be board certified in internal medicine and board certified or eligible in nephrology, and must possess a valid medical license to practice medicine in Texas, intermittent travel possible between patient care sites in Temple/Killeen, Texas as clinic needs and business necessitates.
