Academic Pulmonary Critical Care Opportunities
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX, is recruiting two faculty members for the pulmonary/critical care division (req# 23903BR). The academic rank will depend on clinical and academic experience. This position offers a flexible work/life balance, a comfortable call schedule, and excellent clinical experience.
Responsibilities for both positions will include:
- Working in the medical intensive care unit with our team of 6 pulmonologists, the pulmonary consultation service, and pulmonary clinics.
- Teaching responsibilities will involve medical students, Internal Medicine residents, and our 7 pulmonary fellows.
- Time is typically spent 25% in the ICU, 25% with clinic, and 50% in-patient.
- Some scholarly activity is expected and encouraged.
The two positions encourage experience and fellowship training in critical care, pulmonary interstitial lung disease or pulmonary sleep medicine. Both candidates are required to successfully complete a subspecialty fellowship in pulmonary/ critical care and be ABIM certified or eligible to become certified and have qualifications necessary for faculty appointment at TTUHSC and for licensure in the State of Texas.
