The Department of Radiology at Tufts Medical Center is seeking a 1.0FTE academic Abdominal Radiologist for a full-time faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. Applicants should have completed a Body Imaging Fellowship and be American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified or eligible. Expertise in CT, MRI, and ultrasound imaging is expected, and knowledge of advanced body MR techniques and spectral CT is desirable.

There are ample opportunities for leadership and research within the Department of Radiology. Tufts has a Clinical and Translational Science Institute to support the research initiatives of its faculty that includes collaborations in Artificial Intelligence with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The compensation package is highly competitive including comprehensive benefits package and a generous retirement plan contribution. Faculty rank is commensurate with experience.

The Abdominal Imaging Division interprets abdominal/pelvic radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. New 3.0T MR is being installed this fall with highest gradients, compressed sensing with deep learning (DL) technology, and access to a clinical MR support scientists for works in progress, and an additional 1.5T and 3.0T MR. There are 3 Siemens scanners including 192 slice dual energy, 64 slice dual source, and a 20 slice Somatom Definition AS20 with an interventional package.

The Radiology Department is an academic practice in which the radiologists serve as faculty for the ACGME Diagnostic Residency programs at Tufts Medical Center and have appointments with the Tufts University School of Medicine. Faculty members are actively engaged in resident and medical student education including teaching conferences and multidisciplinary conferences. Protected academic time for scholarly activity and research is provided.

Boston is a great and historic city. It a wonderful place to live and to raise a family with many colleges and universities creating a rich cultural and intellectual environment. There is proximity to great recreational activities from the coastal towns of Cape Cod to the Berkshires in Massachusetts and within two and a half hours there is access to the White Mountains of New Hampshire that offer great summertime hiking and winter skiing. Boston consistently ranks as one of the most desirable places in the country to live.
