Medical Oncologist, Clinician/Clinician Investigator
The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is recruiting an outstanding medical oncologist to join our large and growing multidisciplinary program in gastrointestinal cancers. Academic rank as Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
The Gastrointestinal Cancer Center is a thriving clinical and translational research unit dedicated to the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies. There is a strong academic orientation to our program with extensive translational research to identify new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. The focus of this position is on expert clinical care of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies and clinical/translational investigation of novel therapies. The successful candidate is expected to become an expert in gastrointestinal oncology; develop, participate, and lead clinical and translational research projects; and take an active role in the Center’s clinical activities. The successful candidate will also engage in teaching students, housestaff, and fellows in the lab, clinic, and inpatient settings.
The position will be based in both the Department of Medical Oncology at DFCI and the Department of Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and includes collaboration with other institutions affiliated with the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Care Center and the Harvard Medical School. Candidates must be board-eligible or certified in medical oncology.
