Director of Quality and Safety

SSM Health - a nationally recognized Catholic, not-for-profit integrated health system serving Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin - is seeking a Director of Quality and Safety for its office in St. Louis, MO. This would be a fantastic growth opportunity for candidates with adult inpatient and clinical ambulatory experience.

This role will work closely with our risk management team, senior safety leaders, as well as clinical leadership. The Director of Quality and Safety will manage a team of direct reports comprised of Patient Safety Specialists and Clinical Outcome Specialists. In addition, this leader will manage the department's budget. This director will work within our event reporting management system to coordinate investigations and conduct root cause analyses.

Successful candidates will have 7 years of experience, with 5 years in leadership. A bachelor's degree is required, although a master's degree would be preferred. Preferred candidates will have their RN, in addition to their CPHQ, CJCP, or CPPS certification. Experience with quality and safety in a clinical setting is preferred. Knowledge of continuous improvement and provider engagement would be beneficial.
