Position Information:
WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with approximately 365 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. Our organization places a high value on quality, caring and compassionate physicians. We are currently seeking physicians with an interest and training in Pediatric Endocrinology to join our expanding group in Raleigh, NC. Our team currently consists of 4 physicians, research coordinator, certified diabetes educator, nutritionist, social worker and nursing staff. The division provides comprehensive care for children with endocrine problems through our outpatient clinic and through consultative support for the WakeMed Children's Hospital NICU, PICU and pediatric inpatient services. The division's diabetes center is an ADA certified program with active insulin pump and CGM programs that are strongly supported by nursing staff.  Support for endocrine stimulation testing is also provided.  The division has an active clinical research program and is currently engaged in a variety of research endeavors, several in collaboration with investigators at academic centers. WakeMed Children's Hospital and NICU recently underwent a state of the art renovation and offers a wide array of sub-specialty support. The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients within their division as well as providing teaching and supervision to residents and medical students. The physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. We encourage participation in divisional research activities.  Call coverage and clinical responsibilities will be shared with team members.   

This position reports directly to the Director of Pediatric Subspecialties and supports the mission, values, and management of WPP. Qualified candidates must be currently BE/BC in Pediatric Endocrinology. We do not provide visa sponsorship opportunities.
