Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician in Single Hospital/Clinic Private Practice
We are looking for the right physician colleague to join our practice fulltime. Redwood Pulmonary Medical Associates was founded in 2000 in Redwood City, California, located in the Bay Area. The practice serves patients with a wide variety of pulmonary disorders, critical illness, and sleep disorders. We house the Sequoia Sleep Center, an accredited sleep laboratory by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, within our offices. Our office suite is conveniently located inside Sequoia Hospital, just steps away from the intensive care unit. Our providers and staff have worked together for many years and we take pride in the high level of care we deliver to members of the community. Our practice has several collaborations with both public (e.g.., UCSF) and private sectors (e.g.., Somnology, Inc.) to advance novel models of care delivery. In the past 2 years, implementing telehealth and remote testing, we have evaluated US veterans with sleep disorders in all 50 states. We are a forward thinking medical practice that always keeps our patients at the heart of what we do. Our new colleague can be at any stage of their career but should have an interest in building an outpatient pulmonary practice. Hospital and ICU on call duties are shared with members of Redwood Pulmonary and other pulmonologists in the community. ICU coverage is flexible but may be anticipated as 7-10 weeks per year. The outpatient pulmonary clinic will be 4 days per week plus 1 day devoted to administrative work or procedures. We are offering a generous salary with retirement plan, vacation, health, dental, and vision insurance coverage, CME allowance, signing bonus and housing stipend, plus a dedicated medical assistant. Flexible work arrangement possible: 100% employee vs. a hybrid of guaranteed income for 2-3 years with a transition to independent practice vs. 100% independent contractor. Mentorship in private practice policies and procedures is offered by our medical director. This job is perfect for someone who values their independence, wants schedule and professional flexibility, prefers a smaller practice setting over a large institution, and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
Redwood Pulmonary Medical Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer and minorities, women, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and others are encouraged to apply.
