Mercy Health Saint Mary’s (MHSM) has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Director over Experience, Safety and Quality to join our team located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

 

This role will provide physician leadership and oversight for the development and improvement of Experience of Care, Safety and Quality programs at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s and will serve as a visible champion of MHSM’s commitment to Zero Harm. This dyad role will work in a matrixed relationship with Trinity Health Michigan and hospital executives and will partner with department leaders, frontline colleagues and providers to ensure Mercy Health Saint Mary’s continues to have the highest quality and safety outcomes.

 

The selected physician will fill this full time, 1.0 FTE role – 0.5 FTE Medical Director and 0.5 FTE Clinical.

 

Applicants must have a minimum requirement of five years clinical experience and must be dedicated to a mission of excellence in patient satisfaction and best clinical outcomes. Training or certification in formal performance/process improvement methodologies and safety science (e.g. Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Professional In-Patient Safety, etc.) is preferred. Physicians must be Board Certified in their specialty within five years of completion of residency.
