Flowers Hospital is a 235 Bed Level III Trauma Center located in Dothan, AL. It is a major referral center for the Tri-State area of South Alabama, Southwest Georgia and Northwest Florida.
Hospital Medicine Department Details:
- Average Daily Census: 18-21
- 7 on / 7 off -- 15 shifts a month
- Geographic Rounding Model where Physician and NP/PA team care for patients in certain areas of the hospital
- Procedures preferred but not required – Specialty backup available
- Open ICU
- Dedicated Admitters see follow-ups and discharges
- EMR: Cerner
- BC/BE in IM, FM
- ER runs codes – hospitalist assist
- Current ACLS
- BC/BE FM or IM with previous HM experience
- Current ACLS certification
