Orthopedic Surgery - Joint Reconstruction Opportunity
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) have an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Fellowship trained Joint Reconstruction Surgeon to join a multi-specialty orthopedic practice in Boise, Idaho.
The selected candidate will join Saint Alphonsus Joint Preservation and Reconstruction, an innovative, multi-specialty orthopedic practice, focused on hip and knee reconstruction and joint preservation techniques. Group staffing consists of a non-operative sports medicine physician, a joint preservationist, four joint replacement surgeons and five Advanced Practice Providers. Patients have access to both non-surgical and surgical treatments for hip and knee conditions in order to increase the longevity of the joint. Saint Alphonsus is the only health system in Southwest Idaho with access to MAKO, the most advanced robotic technology for partial and total knee and hip replacement surgery.
Requirements for this opportunity include a MD or DO degree, successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency and accredited Joint Replacement Surgery Fellowship program, Board Certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, or obtain Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases, and a valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA.
Applicants must have a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. The ideal candidate will commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care while demonstrating and modeling the organization’s core values of Reverence, a Commitment to the Poor, Justice, Stewardship and Integrity.
The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, with a minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week, plus procedures, rounding and consults. Call is 1:4, group call coverage.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center is a 387 bed regional medical center serving people throughout the Northwest and is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary services. It is also the region’s only ACS verified Level II Trauma Center whose annual trauma volumes exceed 1,700 patients, including more than 400 patients with an ISS>16. Trauma is predominantly blunt in nature.
