Facility Since opening its doors in April 1948, Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital has provided its community with quality medical care. Through the years, its grown with the community, enhancing and expanding services every step of the way. In early 2020, the hospital celebrated the opening of its expanded Emergency Department, tripling its capacity to better serve the Baytown area.
Community Baytown is a thriving community less than 30 miles east of Houston, the country’s fourth-largest city and third-largest county (Harris). With more than 2.2 million residents, the city attracts visitors and transplants with a wonderful mix of world-class arts, booming business, pro sports and awardwinning cuisine. As the rest of the country discovers what locals have known all along, Houston is finally enjoying the recognition it deserves.
