The CORE Institute offers a 12-month fellowship in Spine Surgery. The Spine division is comprised of seven highly regarded spine surgeons covering all areas of the spine surgical treatment along with a team of pain management and rehabilitation specialists who provide non-operative spine care.

The Spinal Surgery fellowship will encompass the full spectrum of management of spinal pathologies including both operative and non-operative treatment options. Surgical exposure will include a large volume of minimally invasive spine surgery as well extensive exposure to complex open surgeries in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Experience with a number of navigation platforms will be included in the fellowship. The practice sees a large volume of degenerative conditions and adult deformity. Exposure to spine tumors and spine trauma will also be included. An opportunity to gain experience in pediatric deformity will be available depending on the interest of the fellow.

The fellow will actively prepare for and participate in monthly spine conferences/journal clubs, supplemented by quarterly Interdisciplinary rounds. Annually, a Visiting Professor will be invited for Grand Rounds lecture, discussion, and possible cadaveric demonstration. The fellow will benefit from access to a biomechanical research laboratory, motion analysis laboratory, and a clinical research infrastructure with a fully staffed team of regulatory, contract, grant, and research coordinators.
