HCA West Florida is seeking a general anesthesiologist to serve as teaching faculty for the anesthesiology residency program at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. The teaching anesthesiologist will be responsible for providing anesthesia care, and supervising residents at all anesthetizing locations, in addition to mentoring and didactic teaching. Ideal candidate is a motivated, board certified anesthesiologist with teaching and scholarship experience. This opportunity includes a faculty appointment with HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine GME- Oak Hill Hospital Anesthesiology Program.
Requirements:
- Must be licensed to work in Florida
- Must be BE/BC in Anesthesiology
- Previous teaching experience is preferred

Anesthesia Residency Program:
The Oak Hill Hospital Anesthesiology residency program is a member of the HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine GME Programs, located in West Florida. It is a new program with a full complement of 18 residents, and is graduating its first class in July of 2021. The program focuses on care that revolves around the patients, professionalism, collaboration and teamwork.
Oak Hill Hospital:
Oak Hill Hospital, located in Brooksville, 40 miles north from Tampa, is a 350-bed facility serving Hernando and Citrus counties since 1984. The facility offers Hernando County s only comprehensive cardiovascular program, including an arrhythmia center and open-heart surgery. The hospital provides other vital services through its Orthopedic & Spine Institute, Cancer Institute, maternity suites with NICU, women s imaging center, ER 24/7 and pediatric ER and pediatric inpatient care. Other services include hospitalists and 24/7 on-site critical care intensivists. The hospital is a Statutory Teaching Hospital, one of 34 in the state, training 161 residents through its Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Podiatry residency programs, as well as its Transitional Year internship and Geriatric fellowship programs.
