Physician-Radiology - Interventional

The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging Division at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group are actively seeking an experienced Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced physician interested in innovative and cutting-edge technology to expand the IR program in Southern Arizona’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. The successful candidate will have an established record of clinical and service excellence, research experience, and interest in graduate medical education. Academic appointment to the University of Arizona commensurate with experience.

•BC/BE Interventional Radiology

•Ability to work with diverse students, trainees and colleagues

•Experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.

The Body Imaging Division is rapidly expanding and driven by advanced imaging diagnostics, with newly installed, state of the art MRI and CT systems. Our practice is founded upon translational sciences and education, covering the full array of diseases of the chest, abdominal and pelvis, including vascular and cardiac imaging. Our practice is interdisciplinary with active conferencing across the spectrum of specialties including expanding transplantation and oncology services. The clinical case load serves as an excellent resource for our training programs, which include a Diagnostic Radiology residency and a fellowship training program in Body Imaging. The Department of Medical Imaging has a strong tradition of imaging research, with 18 research faculty and many cross-appointed faculty in Biomedical Imaging, Optical Physics, Biochemistry and Chemistry and 14,000 square ft of dedicated research space in the Department, providing a fertile ground for translational research.
