The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UMass Memorial Health Care, the clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, is recruiting for two positions:
Vice Chair for Academic Affairs/ Research Division Chief:
In addition to clinical responsibilities, this specialist or subspecialist will be a member of the Ob/Gyn Department Chair’s executive leadership team in the combined roles of Vice Chair for Academic Affairs and Research Division Chief. You would be joining a Department with forty practitioners in five specialties (General Ob/Gyn (inclusive of Family Planning and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery), Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and Urogynecology), twenty residents and five fellows (Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and Maternal Fetal Medicine). The Vice Chair for Academic Affairs will provide leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for faculty professional development, education, and research. Significant focus and success will be measured through faculty mentorship, development, scholarship, and promotion. The role of Research Division Chief includes guiding day to day oversight and operations of research division. Focus is on growth and sustainability of the division as measured by research faculty and/or faculty with research productivity including grant submissions, funded grants and contracts, and scholarly output. Candidates should be board-certified OB/GYN specialist or subspecialist.
Academic General Obstetrics and Gynecology:
We seek a board eligible or board certified OB/GYN to join a large general OB/GYN group that practices with subspecialty support at a tertiary care medical center based in Central Massachusetts Candidates should have experience and enthusiasm for patient care, medical student and resident education and clinical research.
