Gastroenterology Medical Director Needed in Portland, OR

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist to join an established practice in beautiful Portland, OR. In addition to being a working partner in a community hospital setting, the Medical Director provide leadership to physician peers, which includes positive communication, mentoring, training in clinical procedures, building a cohesive team spirit and directing with a service-minded emphasis. The Medical Director will serve as the connecting point between the Gastroenterology group and hospital administration, other physician groups and ancillary hospital services to facilitate cohesive relationships that inspire quality patient care and physician work satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will perform ERCP procedures. Additional expertise with EUS is desired, but not required. The incoming physician will join a practice of three physicians and two advance practitioners who work collaboratively to provide top-quality patient care.

The position is scheduled for 36 patient contact hours, equally split between clinic and procedures. Call is shared with a local partnering GI group — weekday call every third week Monday - Friday; weekend call is every sixth weekend.

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible, be OR licensed or eligible and meet the hospital's medical staff credentialing standards. Though experience is a plus, newly trained physicians will be considered.
