Beaumont Surgical Services is seeking an experienced full-time faculty neurosurgeon with a subspecialty focus in adult & pediatric epilepsy surgery. This position will be predominately at the Royal Oak campus.
Ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills for program building, exceptional communication skills to help expand the referral base and strengthen community ties.

Beaumont Royal Oak Hospital is an ABRET accredited EEG staff with a 4 Bed Adult EMU and a 5 Bed 24/7 Pediatric EMU. This is a great opportunity to develop a program, particularly Phase II/sEEG-based, in conjunction with full, NAEC accredited (level 4 since 2014) pediatric & adult epilepsy teams. Pre-surgical evaluation includes state of the art PET, SPECT, Neuropsychology, WADA, fMRI, 64 direction DTI, experienced NIOM program 24/7, Curry image fusion, ROSA, & new MEG center opening early 2020. Programs include Epilepsy Dietary, Epilepsy Neurogenetics, & Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance accredited TS programs.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- BC/BE neurological surgeon with additional fellowship training in epilepsy surgery & pediatric epilepsy surgery
- Must have strong interpersonal & organizational skills, a persuasive communicator who is empathetic & a respectful listener who can create an atmosphere that allows individuals to flourish within the context of the department.
- Excellent surgical skills
- Must have or be eligible for a Michigan medical & DEA license
