The University of Central Florida, College of Medicine Faculty Practice at UCF Health in Orlando, FL is seeking a dermatologist for a non-tenure track (multi-year) or tenure track appointment at the assistant, associate or professor of medicine academic ranks. Applicants should be exceptional clinicians who wish to join two other dermatologists (medical dermatologist and procedural dermatologist) in growing the outpatient practice. These positions involve delivering high quality, value-based, team-based outpatient care with opportunities for clinical research, as well as medical student, resident and subspecialty fellow teaching. Applicants need to have demonstrated outstanding clinical practice as well as a high level of communication, collaboration and professionalism.

UCF has grown to be the nation's second largest university and has demonstrated particular excellence in science and technology. The College of Medicine (COM) was established in 2006, is fully LCME accredited, and successfully launched multiple internal medicine residency and subspecialty fellowship training programs. The medical campus is located at Lake Nona, serving as an anchor to the 500-acre “Medical City”, which is rapidly growing to include our university teaching and other hospitals, clinics, and research institutes. The college also includes undergraduate and many graduate programs in biomedical sciences and biotechnology.

The success of the university faculty practice, UCF Health, has led to continuing growth and expansion that includes more clinic sites, state-of-the-art facilities and multiple specialties across our academic departments and participating hospitals.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have an M.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school. Candidates must be eligible for licensure or actively licensed to practice in the state of Florida. They must be ABIM board certified in Dermatology or board eligible upon completion of training. Board certification would be expected within two (2) years of completion of training.

In order to be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate professor or professor of medicine upon hire, the successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of scholarly achievement, teaching experience and service commensurate with rank.

Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have academic experience in medical dermatology as well as strong skills in procedural dermatology (non-Mohs) to complement the expertise of our current dermatologists. Examples of preferred experience include cross-specialty clinics (e.g., for dermato-oncology or occupational dermatology) and collaborative research projects. Candidates with experience in and willingness to help further develop our evolving dermatology service are also preferred.

Additional Application Materials Required:

UCF requires all applications and supporting documents to be submitted electronically through the Human Resources website, https://www.ucf.edu/jobs/. In addition to the application, interested applicants must also submit the following materials: a cover letter, a CV, and the contact information for three professional references.

Review of applications will begin no later than January 8, 2021. Please have all documents ready when applying so they can be attached at that time. Once the online submission process is finalized, the system does not allow applicants to submit documents at a later date.
