Job Details

Riley Hospital for Children is looking to grow our program, ranked second in the country by U.S. News & World Report , by addiing a Pediatric Urologist to the team. Skilled in complex open, endoscopic and robotic urologic surgery, Riley urology surgeons specialize in treating conditions of the pediatric urinary tract (kidneys, ureter, bladder) and genitalia. All of our surgeons are fellowship trained and board certified in pediatric urology and are recognized leaders in the field.

Known for expertise in complex genital reconstruction, Riley at IU Health is one of only four centers in the nation designated as a Center of Surgical Excellence for surgical reconstruction for children born with congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Additionally, we are designated by the Association for the Bladder Exstrophy Community as one of 10 international Centers of Excellence for the care of children with bladder exstrophy. Riley at IU Health has organized multidisciplinary clinics with specialists to assist in managing complex patients, including comprehensive programs to care for patients with spina bifida, stones, prenatal urologic anomalies and differences in sexual development. We are internationally recognized for our transitional program, ensuring that children's urologic needs are cared for appropriately as they become adults. The Riley Transitional Urology Clinic provides specialized services for patients requiring lifelong care and follow-up after surgery, and is one of only two such clinical programs in the nation based in a children's hospital.

Position Details:
  • Work-life balanace supported by standard weekly schedule and shared call coverage among team (1:6)
  • Based at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis while also participating in satellite outreach to clinics across the state
  • 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient coverage
  • As a faculty member with the Indiana University School of Medicine, actively participate in the teaching mission which includes attending and participating in resident lectures and acting as a mentor if needed

Qualifications:
  • Completion of Pediatric Urology fellowship
  • BE/BC with American Board of Urology for Urology & Pediatric Urology
  • New graduates and experienced physicians encouraged to apply
  • Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
