Physician - Academics-Gastroenterology

The University of Arizona Cancer Center, Division of Hematology Oncology is actively recruiting for a Senior GI Oncologist with proven leadership skills and the ability and desire to lead a multidisciplinary GI team. Applicants must be an exceptionally qualified clinical or clinical-translational scientist, board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology with a minimum of five years’ experience with GI in treating liver cancer with the ability to manage patients with melanomas in a multidisciplinary setting. Experience in writing and developing clinical trial protocol is preferred. Experience and desire to teach is a plus. The candidate selected will receive a faculty appointment to the University of Arizona consistent with their credentials.

The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer through patient care, research and education. The Division of Hematology/Oncology within the Department of Medicine is an essential component of the UACC organized to teach students and house staff, excel at clinical and clinical-translational research, and to bring to patients state-of-the-art treatment. The Division has 16-physician faculty and 12 research faculty.
