Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time MFM-Geneticist to serve as the Director of our Prenatal Diagnosis Center Program. The ideal candidate is board-certified/board-eligible (BC/BE) in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM), preferably dual boarded with Clinical Genetics.

Main practice locations will be based at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in San Francisco and Alta Bates Summit Medical Center (ABSMC) in Oakland. CPMC is a tertiary care referral center and Level III NICU with over 4500 deliveries a year that recently moved into our brand new state-of-the-art CPMC Van Ness campus.

With the largest Prenatal Diagnosis patient volume in Northern California, we see patients at 6 Prenatal Diagnosis Centers (PDCs): 2 San Francisco sites (CPMC and Mission Bernal campuses) and one each in Santa Rosa, Novato, Oakland, and Burlingame.

Opportunity Highlights

Both inpatient and outpatient services are provided, however the practice is primarily consultative in nature, with in-house call as optionalWorking within the MFM service line throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, additional time would be spent seeing patients for ultrasounds and consults at our PDC officesJoin a cohesive group of 12 MFMs with strong academic training and a desire to maintain a state of the art programOur CA Prenatal Screening Program sites are staffed by 10 genetic counselors, 23 sonographers and 11 MFM physicians, 2 of whom are CVS providersRobust collaboration with Stanford Pediatric sub-specialties and also consult as needed with University of California San Francisco (UCSF) specialistsCollegial atmosphere with a high caliber support staffNumerous leadership opportunities are available

Qualifications

BC/BE in both Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Clinical Genetics1-2 years post-fellowship clinical experience preferred, with a desire to take on leadership rolesComfortable with both prenatal diagnosis and management of complex maternal medical diseaseStrong communication skills and a collaborative nature are essential
