The Division of Geriatric Medicine is recruiting an outstanding candidate for the position of Clinician-Educator.

This Assistant or Associate Professor level faculty appointment will be in the Department of Medicine (https://medicine.vumc.org/), Division of Geriatric Medicine.  The Department resides in the highly collaborative environment at Vanderbilt University (https://vanderbilt.edu/), which provides a strong and collegial environment for interdisciplinary clinical teams, prolific research collaborations, and the development of innovative educational initiatives at all levels.

Clinician-Educators should have evidence for teaching experience and exhibit a strong desire to be involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. An academic Clinician- Educator (CE) track position is 80% clinical, with additional responsibilities in teaching, scholarship, quality improvement, and administration.

Clinically focused Geriatricians can be involved in-patient care in venues ranging from an in-patient Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit and a Geriatrics Consult Service, to several skilled nursing facilities, ambulatory care clinics, with an emphasis on transitions-of-care.
