Assistant Professor, Orthopaedic Surgery – Lexington Medical Center (Job opening ID 32685)

  • General orthopaedic surgeon (preferred total joint fellowship training) dedicated to Wake Forest southern market (Lexington & Salisbury)
  • Position will assume the busy operative practice of retiring orthopaedic surgeon.
  • Existing practice locations have 5 orthopaedic surgeons, 1 podiatric surgeon and 4 APPs (overall department has 80 faculty)

Other Details:

  • Call expectations: 4-6 nights per month (1 weekend per month)
  • Guaranteed salary for first 2 years
  • Signing bonus
  • CME
  • Relocation
  • Location: 4 days per week Lexington clinic + OR, 1 day per week Salisbury clinic
  • Participation in Department Faculty Meetings and grand rounds (WebEx)
  • Opportunity for VA in Salisbury role if interested (i.e. military bridging ability)
