The Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group is recruiting a BC/BE Assistant Professor or higher in Abdominal Imaging to join our faculty team. Banner University Medical Center comprises a 649-bed tertiary care hospital and substantial outpatient practice. The academic health system has eight state-of-the-art MR scanners, which are equipped with advanced fast-scanning capabilities, seven CTs with advanced radiation reduction technology, and rapid scanning technology. The program offers a dynamic mix of complex tertiary care cases (including a busy transplant service, a busy Level 1 trauma center, and only nationally accredited cancer center in the state of Arizona. We also have a strong tradition of medical education with an extensive residency and competitive fellowship program. The successful candidate will receive a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona, consistent with their credentials. Candidates should have a strong commitment to patient care, strong teaching and clinical skills, and a desire to oversee residents, medical students, and fellows.

Candidates that completed a Body MR Imaging Fellowship or Body (Abdominal) Imaging with emphasis on MR training are encouraged to apply.

The Department of Medical Imaging provides clinical service to Banner Health’s academic division. Banner Health’s academic division includes the sole Level 1 Trauma Center in southern Arizona, the Diamond Children’s Medical Center, the University of Arizona Cancer Center, South Campus Hospital, University Medical Imaging, and community sites throughout Arizona.
