The Division of Aging in the Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is a busy and growing practice that provides care in the inpatient and outpatient settings to patients aged 65 and older.  We are currently seeking a board certified/board eligible, enthusiastic geriatrician whose passion is providing outstanding quality healthcare to older adults. Academic rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS) will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements.

The successful candidate will be responsible treating patients in The Superior Surgical Treatment for Seniors Program (SSTEP) which is a new co-management program run by the Division of Aging and the Department of Surgery. This program will set the national standard for providing high-value, perioperative care tailored to the needs of seriously ill and older patients, resulting in better outcomes for patients and their families throughout the trajectory of care.

In addition to being committed to providing outstanding clinical care to older adults,  the successful candidate, will also be responsible for supervising fellows, residents, and medical students in the clinical setting and teaching in didactic sessions.

This position is full time and includes occasional on call, providing in-patient consults to other services and serving 2 weeks annually as an inpatient attending on the General Medicine service.

The successful candidate must hold a medical degree and be board certified or board eligible in Geriatrics and be board certified in Internal Medicine. They must also hold an active Massachusetts Medical License and active DEA and substance control certificate.
