Hospital emergency departments have become the source of the majority of hospital admissions, so continually striving to improve outcomes in the emergency department is key to a hospital’s success. With the goal of always improving patient care and experience, our processes streamline transitions from the emergency department to the ICU to inpatient admissions. We believe that clinical integration between emergency medicine, critical care, and hospital medicine teams are imperative. Using our proven processes, our clinical teams align to streamline inter-department handoffs, improve clinical performance, and patient experience.
Frederick Health Hospital is a 233-bed acute care hospital located in the thriving community of Frederick. For more than 100 years, Frederick Health Hospital has cared for the residents of Frederick County, providing advanced medical treatment and care close to home. Frederick Health Hospital is a primary stroke center and provides a full complement of sub-specialty medical services. In August of 2020, Frederick Health Hospital was designated a Magnet Hospital for their exemplary achievements in nursing care. - High acuity ED; Procedures are required
- Closed ICU; ER docs not required in the ICU
- Employed position
- Board certified in emergency medicine (ABEM); 2+ years of EM leadership experience required
- ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required
