An academic affiliate hospital of the University of Colorado School of Medicine Division of Rheumatology seeks hire a fulltime clinician-educator faculty member as Clinic Director. The position is available July 2021 or sooner.

Due to federal hiring requirements, applicants for this position must be U.S. Citizens (current holders of a U.S. Passport)

Appointment description:
The practice location is based on the Anschutz Medical Campus, the main teaching site for the University of Colorado.
~80% of the clinical responsibilities for this position occur in trainee-staffed clinics.
These clinics include precepting internal medicine residents, rheumatology fellows, and occasional medical students and residents rotating from related services (orthopaedics, podiatry)
Tele-rheumatology clinics are well established
Inpatient rheumatology coverage is modest, but with a surprising variety of cases reflecting the large catchment area with no other competing academic medical centers in the vicinity
A dedicated MSK U/S machine is available.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited ACGME internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship training program.
Board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible/certified in rheumatology
Licensed or ability to obtain a Colorado medical license and DEA certification.
Must meet hospital criteria for Credentialing and Privileges
Must be authorized to work in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
Exceptional clinical knowledge
Excellent productivity/efficiency
A strong desire to precept/mentor trainees
A desire to engage in academic/scholastic pursuits including quality/process improvement initiatives, curriculum development, etc.
Superlative written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with colleagues, trainees, staff
