Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Neuroscience Center, located in Bangor, Maine, seeks a BC/BE Endovascular Neurosurgeon to join our growing hospital-employed practice of five surgeons and eight physician assistants. This is an excellent opportunity to work in conjunction with a multi-specialty trauma program, supported by skilled staff.
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center has recently completed a modernization including a Neuroscience center with a concentration on Stroke and Complex Spine. This modernization includes upgrades to our facility, OR suites and equipment including a state-of-the-art Biplane and Image Guided Navigation systems. Support services include in-house hospitalists, stroke team, neurology, interventional pain, rehabilitation, diagnostic neuroradiology, fully staffed ICU, PICU and NICU, with dedicated intensivists.
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is a modern 411-bed regional tertiary care center, serving a population of 500,000 living in the northern 2/3 of the state’s geography. Our hospital is designated as a Stroke Center of Excellence and is a base hospital for LifeFlight of Maine, a critical care air transportation service flying nearly 1,000 missions per year. We are a Level II Trauma Center that offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services, including a robust, over-45-physician-strong, hospitalist service available 24/7.
