Hospitalist & Associate Medical Director
West Virginia University Medicine is seeking a Hospitalist & Associate Medical Director for West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc. The positon will be based at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV.
Duties: Provide comprehensive inpatient clinical care to patients with disease and injuries of the human internal organ system and establish preventive health practices for patients. Assist with the oversight of the Wheeling Hospital (WH) Hospitalist Program. Ensure that patients receive the highest quality treatment and will have oversight relating to activities associated with the delivery of clinical care and will make recommendations to WVUH and WH for staffing related to the appropriate delivery of such care.
Qualifications: M.D. or D.O. degree or foreign equivalent. Completed residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and West Virginia Medical License eligible. Board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a hospitalist. Minimum of 1 year leadership experience in a hospitalist program serving as an Associate or Assistant Medical Director.
