Our Gynecologic Oncology service is looking for a well-qualifed Gynecologic Oncologist to join its busy practice in Tampa Bay, FL. The candidate must have completed a board approved gynecologic oncology fellowship and be board certified or eligible in Gynecologic Oncology. The candidate will join a clinically-focused gynecologic oncology practice with two active gynecologic oncologist. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated proficiency in minimally invasive surgical techniques, di?cult pelvic surgery including cancer debulking, and administer chemotherapy. The candidate will also work with a local OB/GYN residency program, mentoring and training our future OB/GYN s.

Responsibilities
- Perform physical evaluations and collect detailed medical histories. In addition to medical duties, you must educate patients and their families on various forms of cancer, possible progression and treatment options. Diagnostic techniques that can be employed include staining, tissue sampling procedures and medical imaging
- Understands and follows Women's Care Florida's "Mission Statement", "Code of Conduct", organizational policies, and structure.
- Provides primary obstetric and gynecological care using generally accepted standards of practice. The physician develops a plan of care for each patient, including complete history, physical examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and /or referral, uses all available resources in an appropriate and cost efficient manner.
- Hospitalizes as needed any patient requiring in-patient care; provides obstetric and gynecological care according to accepted ACOG standards during the hospitalization.
- Confers with consulting physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, support staff, patients, and families concerning treatment and care of patients.
Qualifications
- Unencumbered license to practice medicine in Florida as an MD/DO
- Completion of Accredited OB/GYN Residency Program
- Completed a Fellowship in gynecologic oncology
- Board Certified in OB/GYN.
- Current ACLS certification
