Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers’ is seeking a BE/BC OB/GYN physician, who desires to become part of a well-established, collegial group of OB/GYN specialists as they seek to replace one of their partners who is moving downstate. 


  • Step into a full established practice from day one that sees 32-35 new patients monthly. Minimum of 30 patient contact hours in the office and dedicated surgery block time.  No current robotics program. Outpatient offices are located in Morris (on main hospital campus) and Channahon, which offers ancillary, primary, specialty care and advanced Cardio and Imaging services and in Ottawa and in two multi-specialty sites in Yorkville and Diamond-Coal City. In-office procedures include, but are not limited to LEEP, cryotherapy, colposcopy, vulvar biopsy, Nexplanon, IUD insertion, CMG, Urodynamics, US/US-guided biopsy or IUD and Hysterosonogram.  Urology and GYN/ONC available by referral.



  • Enjoy 1:5 Call at one hospital with monthly call stipend. Level II Perinatal Center Family Birthing Suite Unit includes dedicated OR, 8 LDRP rooms and 4 NST/Triage rooms – Anesthesiologists and Pediatricians available at all times. Average of 40-45 deliveries per month between OB/GYNs; 500 births per year, with a large number of high-risk pregnancies.  OBGYNs are required to live in Morris and have a 20min response time.


  • We have a tertiary affiliation with Loyola University Medical Center for mothers and babies who require an even higher level of care as we are a Level II Perinatal Care Provider with strong referral relationships with MFM at Loyola. Candidate must be comfortable with high-risk obstetrics. Our obstetrical nurses are highly trained and care for moms and babies throughout labor and after delivery.  Several classes are available for our expectant families.

  • Level II Trauma Center, Level II Perinatal Care Provider, Primary Stroke Certified and we are part of an Accountable Care Organization, since 01/2015. Our long-standing Emergency and Radiology Departments have great reputations as well! Our advanced imaging services provide comprehensive diagnostic and interventional therapies.

Since 03/2018, the hospital began a $60 million master facility plan that included expanding our ED which opened early March 2020 (17 private rooms with state-of-the-art features).  We are currently in Phase 2 of 4, making changes to our pre/post-CATH lab area and moving outpatient cardiac diagnostics closer to the CATH Lab.  We also renovated our infusion therapy department along with renovating imaging (new women’s center!) and outpatient lab services.  We will be modernizing our surgical waiting room and updating our patient registration process. All Master Facility Plan updates are estimated to be completed in 2022.
