The Opportunity

SSM Health is hiring a Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA) to join our dynamic executive leadership team at St Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. This highly visible leadership position located at our flagship hospital within our Integrated Delivery Network will be expected to provide strategic direction on medical related issues ensuring a culture of patient safety. This highly autonomous role is responsible for oversight for standard of care with physicians and the medical community. Alignment with overall system initiatives with heavy emphasis on achieving ideal outcomes.

This position reports directly to the hospital President with indirect reporting relationship to regional CMO leadership. Comfort navigating within a highly matrixed organization promoting teamwork through positive relationships and effective problem solving skills is a key skillset for this role. SSM is looking for demonstrated experience building strong relationships within all areas of the hospital supporting SSM's initiative to remain a modern transformative healthcare delivery system.

Requirements:

• M.D. or D.O.
• Current unrestricted or ability to obtain a current unrestricted WI medical license
• Minimum of ten years clinical practice experience
• Minimum of five years hospital leadership experience
