The Mineral King Radiology Group, in association with Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia, CA is seeking a board-certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist, with CAQ very desirable. We have developed a robust IR service that includes most vascular and non-vascular interventions, performed both in the hospital setting and at a group-owned outpatient IR center. You will do 70-75% interventional radiology, with 1:4 weekday IR call. IR weekend call is 1:4, and is performed concurrently with general weekend call. General call responsibilities are shared equally among group members, with general call 1:12 in-house until 5:00 pm. Weekend general call will be 1:6, working one half day and one day until 5:00 pm.

The Facility

Kaweah Delta Health Care District is a 581-bed, eight-campus healthcare district in Central California. It is designated a level III trauma center. Our radiologists staff the main hospital and two outpatient imaging centers. We have an excellent relationship with the hospital administration, and have been contracted with the hospital for over 50 years.

The City

Visalia is the county seat of Tulare County, and takes pride in its small-town feel and low cost of living. Commute less than 10 minutes to work. All the standard big-box stores are in town, including a large Costco. 2 hours to the beach, 3 hours to Los Angeles, 3 hours to the Bay Area, 1 hour to the giant sequoias and world-class hiking in Sequoia national park.

Pay and Benefits

This is a partnership track position with 2 years to partner. First year receive 8 weeks of vacation, with 10 weeks the second year. Partners receive 12 weeks of vacation a year. Starting salary of $350k, rising to $400k the second year, with salary negotiable based on experience. Salaries are not based on wRVU targets. Partner salaries are well above the median for California. Buy-in to the partnership is low. Full benefits for the radiologist and family including health, vision, dental, and malpractice insurance. Group members are reimbursed for $2500 in personal out of pocket medical expenses per year. $2500 professional expense reimbursement per year. 401K retirement plan with maximum allowable matching. Opportunity to participate in a nonqualified deferred compensation plan (rabbi trust) as a tax shelter. Up to $10k in relocation expenses.
