SSM Health Dean Medical Group, a 450+ physician multi-specialty group, is actively recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) BE/BC Gastroenterologist at the Madison location.
  • The department is currently comprised of 7 physicians, 5 advanced practitioners, and a GI dietician.
  • The gastroenterology clinic, state-of-the-art ambulatory endoscopy center, and hospital with inpatient endoscopy suites are all located at one site.
  • ERCP optional but not required.
  • Established procedures include ERCP, EUS, balloon enteroscopy, pH/Impedance testing, HALO RFA, capsule endoscopy, esophageal and anorectal manometry.
  • Entirely consultative GI inpatient service with excellent Hospitalist, ICU, and Surgery teams.
  • Fully integrated EPIC EMR across the network with remote access to digital radiology from referring hospitals.
  • Four and a half day work week with outreach to local communities no more than 1 day per week.
  • Call would be shared equally (1-in-8) covering only St. Mary's Hospital-Madison.
  • Our group is highly collaborative and supportive of one another.

The Hospital
St. Mary's Hospital is a state of the art 450 bed Hospital located in central Madison offering a complete array of medical and surgical services. Critical to the success of our GI program, the hospital and Dean Medical Group offers excellent support from anesthesiology, GI oncology, body imaging radiology, interventional radiology, GI pathology, hepatobiliary surgery, foregut surgery and colorectal surgery. Our patients have ready access to a high-volume liver transplant service located just 3 miles away at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. St. Mary's Hospital is a tertiary referral center for the region supporting multiple network hospitals, which continues to grow with the recent addition of two additional regional hospital groups. A GI fellow rounds with the inpatient service as a result of our strong relationship with the University of Wisconsin Gastroenterology Fellowship program.
