Obstetrics and Gynecology - Faculty Opportunity
Mount Carmel Health System has an excellent full time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join the teaching faculty at their ACGME-accredited residency training program located in Columbus, Ohio.
The selected candidate will educate, supervise and provide direct care for patients in the resident clinic and on L&D Unit; must have strong interest and skill in team-based obstetrical care, health care policy for provision of obstetrical care, and high motivation for innovative resident and medical student education; must be comfortable with a broad spectrum of OB/GYN, including management of medically complex high-risk pregnancies and advanced obstetrical surgery; and must be able to manage gynecological and OB/GYN traumatic surgical emergencies.
Laparoscopic experience is required; robotic experience helpful but not mandatory. Applicants must be Board Eligible with board certifying exam completion within two years of employment. A general understanding of ACGME is a plus.
Mount Carmel Health System has 44 residents in the combined residency program with The Ohio State University. In addition to providing care to the Columbus underserved community, Mount Carmel is the primary regional referral center for high-risk pregnancies with Level 3 NICUs. Mount Carmel delivers high quality obstetrical care at three hospitals – Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel St. Ann's & Mount Carmel Grove City – in central Ohio.
All enthusiastic educators are welcome to consider this position although the ideal candidates will be at least three years post-residency.
