Job Description
Family Medicine Physician needed in Hilo, Hawaii. The primary focus of the Family Medicine Physician is to diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases and injuries that commonly occur in the general population.
Details:
• Permanent, full-time position
• 4/10 hour days or 5/8 hour days
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care
• Order, perform, and interpret tests
• Analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients’ condition
• Monitor the patients’ conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary
• Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and results
• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients
• Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary
• Direct and coordinate activities with nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff

Qualifications
• Hawaii state license
• Doctorate degree
• CPR certification
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics preferred
• Community health care clinic or similar experience preferred
• Three plus years of experience
