OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center have an excellent employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgery physician to join a team located in Boise, Idaho.

The selected candidate will join a three surgeon practice, six APP's, five CVOR specialized anesthesiologists, and three perfusionists who work together with an experienced staff on a dedicated floor that houses both the 10-bed dedicated CVICU (for prep and recovery) and the CVORs. The team performed over 280 heart surgeries and over 150 lung surgeries (including robotics) this past fiscal year. The program participates in the STS Registry and aggressively benchmarks performance as part of an ever-vigilant quality and outcomes improvement program. Included among our accomplishments are a very high early extubation rate, a very low transfusion rate and many regional and national cardiac surgery awards.

The schedule for this opportunity is primarily weekdays and call is 1:3.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center is a 387 bed regional medical center serving people throughout the Northwest and is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary services. It is also the region s only ACS verified Level II Trauma Center whose annual trauma volumes exceed 1,700 with over 400 patients with an ISS>16. Trauma is predominantly blunt in nature. There are a wide range of subspecialty services available 24/7, including strong trauma/surgical critical care, neurosurgical coverage, in-house interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons and fellowship trained intensivists and cardiologists.
