Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine Director
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai seeks Board Certified MD or MD PhD Physician to join its full -time faculty as a Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine Director at the affiliated New York City H+H Elmhurst and New York City H+H Queens.
Required qualifications include American Board of Pathology certification in Clinical Pathology (CP) or combined AP/CP; at least 2 years of training and/or experience in Blood Banking/Transfusion medicine. A candidate must also hold or be eligible to obtain a New York State license and a New York State certification in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
The prospective candidate is expected to provide leadership and oversee operations of Blood Bank in both New York City H+H Elmhurst and New York City H+H Queens with respect to patient safety and quality of operations, and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of AABB, NYDOH, CAP and other regulatory agencies.
An affiliation with The Mount Sinai School of Medicine provides a path for advanced academic appointment and research. We also offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.
