Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Department of Pediatrics at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine are searching for individuals with expertise in Improvement and/or Implementation Science.  We wish to recruit a senior faculty leader with a strong record of action-oriented health care quality research, a desire to lead a multidisciplinary program, and a commitment to improving health, care and education. This individual will hold an academic appointment as an associate professor or professor in the James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence. The role is anticipated to include independent research, as well as serving as a core resource for health system quality research, improvement, innovation and education across the institution.  We seek a mid to senior career investigator with a strong track record in health systems research, with an emphasis on any of the following areas: systems improvement and quality, safety, co-production and engagement, equity in health care quality, clinical informatics, management engineering, including an ongoing funded research program. Leadership opportunities are possible for candidates with considerable academic experience.

We harness the power of improvement science to accelerate change and support the development of leaders to help catalyze transformation of healthcare services and their impact on populations of children and adolescents.

Successful candidates will have a PhD and/or MD, a demonstrated record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications, and external funding.  Preference will be given to candidates with creativity, independence, and high motivation; experience in managing research and innovation, and mentoring faculty, trainees, and research staff; and proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.  Cincinnati Children’s is committed to diversity and inclusiveness including background, thought and experience.
