Assistant Professor Position with UNC OB-GYN
The UNC Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a full-time, entry-level, academic clinician for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in its Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology. Responsibilities will include women’s primary healthcare (4 days/week), teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and clinical research.
Practice locations will be at the UNC Women’s Hospital and Weaver Crossing in Chapel Hill, Horizons in Carrboro, Hillsborough Hospital and the NC Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh, as well as at our new Panther Creek Medical Office Building in western Wake County, scheduled to open in early 2020.
Candidates must have completed a 4-year, ACGME approved residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and be either Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Sub-specialty training is not required, but expertise in the following areas will be given special consideration in the selection process: clinical epidemiology, addiction medicine, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, healthcare for UNC students, care of incarcerated women, cervical dysplasia, uterine fibroids, medical education and global health. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
